I established the Software and Sustainability (S2) research group in the Department of Computer Science at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
I am the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) for my scientific contribution to software sustainability.
My passion in research is to create software engineering knowledge that makes software better, smarter, and more sustainable.
On January 15, 2016 I gave my inaugural speech as a full professor at the VU. My speech was titled “Software and Sustainability”. You can find online both the text and the presentation.
